Community Guidelines

Last updated August 5, 2026

Desert Place Rentals works because Hosts and Renters deal with each other directly and in good faith. These guidelines sit alongside the Terms & Conditions and describe the conduct we expect.

Be accurate

  • Hosts: list your space honestly — real photos, real capacity, real amenities.
  • Renters: tell the Host what you're actually planning, including expected guest count and the nature of the event, when you submit a request.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, hate speech, or discrimination toward another user, in messages or reviews.
  • Leave a space the way you found it, and respect the house rules a Host sets.
  • Respond to requests and messages in good faith — declining a booking is fine, ignoring it isn't.

Be safe

  • Don't exceed a listing's stated guest capacity.
  • Don't use a space for anything illegal, or for an activity a Host hasn't agreed to.
  • Hosts should disclose any known hazards or access limitations in the listing or house rules.

Keep it on the platform

Messages, booking requests, and payments should go through Desert Place Rentals. Taking a relationship off-platform to avoid fees removes the protections these guidelines and our Cancellation Policy provide to both sides.

Reporting a problem

If another user violates these guidelines, message hello@desertplacerentals.com with the booking or listing in question. Violations can result in a warning, listing removal, or account suspension depending on severity.
